Leads and CRM

Lead source

Where a lead came from: Google search, Google Business Profile, a referral, an ad, a sign on a truck, a specific landing page.

Why it matters for your business

Without the source, you cannot know what to spend more on and what to cut. Tracking it means tagging forms and phone numbers so each inquiry carries its origin into the CRM. Ask customers too, since referrals often go unrecorded.

In practice

A builder sees that most leads come from the Business Profile and fewer from paid ads, but the ad leads close more often. Both facts come from the CRM, not a hunch.
